The book will be presented in Madrid's Cervantes Institute as part of the Festival of Female Artists. Tóth will speak with the Spanish writer and art historian Ángeles Caso at the event.
"Bar Code" consists of 15 short stories about life in Hungary in the 1970s. The book was published in Hungarian by Magvető in 2006. The Spanish translation is by Éva Cserháti and Eszter Orbán.
The Festival of Female Artists is being held in Madrid for the sixth year on the initiative of the Spanish Prime Minister's Office. This year's festival runs from March through April. The programme includes exhibitions, classical and rock music events, film screenings, theatre and dance performances.
