Mari Törőcsik in Eszter's Inheritance

Audiences in Los Angeles have enjoyed an annual celebration of Hungarian film since the end of the '90s thanks to the efforts of Béla Bunyik, who heads a film distribution company there, and the Hungarian Film Union.

This year's Hungarian Film Festival of Los Angeles will feature 31 screenings of 15 new Hungarian films. It will open with Eszter's Inheritance by József Sipos. The emblematic actress Mari Törőcsik will be the guest of honour at this year's festival.

Complementing the programme of the 8th Hungarian Film Festival of Los Angeles will be a screening of four films at the County Museum of Art (LACMA) by the great Hungarian director Miklós Jancsó between October 17 and 24.
