The troupe will present a plaque and unveil an equestrian statue to commemorate themselves in front of the Piccolo Theatre (formerly the Cellar Theatre) in Török Pál utca, in Budapest?s District IX, where the troupe first performed on May 21, 1986, since which time the troupe has become legendary. The ceremony will take the following form:
? Celebratory vote to determine whether there should be any vote at all
? Counting of the votes
? Announcement of the results
? Statement of the Company Rules, under which only Company members may vote, and only one may vote ?nay?
? Vote on whether there shall be a celebration, the presentation of a commemoratory plaque and the unveiling of a statue, for which an audience has been assembled
? Counting of the votes
? Announcement of the results
The following events of the ceremony will take place regardless of the results of the vote:
? Ceremonial cutting of the ribbon, in order to allow a closer viewing of the unveiling of the commemoratory plaque and the statue
? Even more ceremonial placement of stones underneath the commemoratory plaque in order to support the commemoratory plaque during its unveiling
? Even more-ceremonial-than-the-preceding lining up of the stones and the presentation of the unveiling of the commemoratory plaque
? Recollection of what the first performances were like (?Good?)
? The unveiling of the L?art pour l?art equestrian statue
? A few words about the Company?s secret relation to the equestrian arts in the past decades
? Honourable and commendatory ceremony in memoriam of those ideas which the Company failed to think up in the last twenty years
? Presentation of high honours and awards and ceremonial speeches spoken into a microphone
? Swearing of a solemn oath. The L?art pour l?art Company will swear a ceremonial oath that, as in the previous twenty years, they will not be enslaved in the future
? The delivery of a message into space ? with the help of a balloon
? The taking home of the commemoratory plaque and the equestrian statute by the members of the Company
