Liszt Academy Choir Performs With Tchaikovsky Conservatory

On the programme were Zoltán Kodály's Missa Brevis, Miserere, Mátra Images and Psalmus Hungaricus. The solists we Dóra Schell, Beáta Szűcs, Judit Szathmáry and Zoltán Kocsis-Holper.

 
Under an agreement between Liszt Music Academy rector András Batta and Tchaikovsky Conservatory rector Tigran Alihanov, the two music schools will organise one joint concert, as well as student exchanges and master courses each year until 2011.
 
Next year, Ádám Banda, the runner-up at the 2006 Yampolsky Competition, will play Bartók's violin concerto. In 2010, the Hungarian composer Ferenc Erkel - who was born 200 years earlier - will be in the focus along with works by the Russian composer Mikhail Glinka. And in 2011, the music schools will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Franz Liszt.
