Literature Museum Shows Renaissance Exhibition

The exhibition, called Renaissance Roads - Virtual Meetings, examines the connections between the ideas of the scientists, writers, poets and artists of the Renaissance age and the technical character of our own age with the help of virtual tools.

 

The Sodalitas Litteraria Danubiana, or Danubian Society for Science, included among its members Konrad Celtis, who founded the Sodalitas Litteraria in the region, and János Vitéz Jr., the Bishop of Veszprém. Also members were Piso Jakab, Girolamo Balbi Augustinus Moravus Olomucensis, Johannes Cuspinianus, Bohuslav Lobkowitz von Hassenstein, Johannes Stabius, Giulio Milio, Georg Neideck and Johannes Schlechta.

 
The exhibition runs from November 8, 2008 until February 28, 2009.
