The local council will put up HUF 750 million of the budget, the Ministry of Education and Culture will contribute HUF 700 million and the European Union will grant HUF 392 million. The money will go toward 130 core programmes.
Additional events will be supported by partner cities and non-government organisations.
Minister of Education and Culture István Hiller and Pécs2010 programme officials will hold a press conference on details for 2010 on Friday.
