In Breathing Irregular a five-year-old boy finds his mother slumped by the back door, a woman gives birth to a child at home alone and a family desperately work to resuscitate their father.

"This dance-theatre piece offers 50 minutes in which time expands and stands still, becoming suddenly blurred and then incredibly intense, as if an oxygen mask keeps slipping on and off your mouth," said Lyn Gardner, writing for The Guardian.

Magyar was born in Budapest, Hungary. She studied dance and acrobatics and graduated from Budapest Film and Drama University. She worked for a number of major theatre companies playing leading roles for 5 years in both drama and musicals before she established her own company, The Shamans. For The Shamans, Magyar worked as a director, actor, writer and choreographer. The company has received many festival invitations and a number of awards for their original style and passionate performances. Magyar has also worked as a teacher at Yale University and UCLA in the United States and at many institutions and colleges in Europe.
