Cats premiered at the Madách Theatre on March 25, 1983, shortly after its world premiere in London. More than 1.5 million people have seen the show in Hungary over the past 26 years - a record.
Some 150 actors and actresses have been cast in the production since it premiered. All have been invited to the performance on January 31. One well known member of the original cast will also repeat their role in the evening performance.
