The theatre will perform the musical with three casts on May 30, 31 and June 1, said press chief Melinda Kósa. The musical is directed by Tamás Szirtes and co-directed by Béla Szerednyey.
Joseph will be played by Sándor Nagy, Péter Puskás and Attila Serbán. Nikolett Gallusz, Judit Ladinek and Lilla Polyák will act as narrators. The pharaoh will be played by Zoltán Miller and Victor Posta, Jacob by János Koltai and Attila Lőte, and Potiphar's wife by Nikolett Gallusz and Judit Ladinek. Attila Barát and Pál Ömböli will appear as Ruben and Potiphar, Tamás Arany and Vajk Szente will play Juda, Balázs Nagy and Dávid Sándor will appear as Simenon, and Zoltán Ádok and János Balog as Levi. Naphtali and the cup-bearer will be played by Balázs Csórics and Tibor Héger.
Set design is by Kentaur and costumes by Nóra Rományi. Ákos Tihanyi is choreographer for the production. The musical directors are Tibor Kocsák and László Zádori, and the dramaturge is Márta Springer.
The Madách Theatre staged a production of the musical in 1991, also directed by Szirtes, but the latest production will be considerably different, with new songs and lyrics by Webber, translated by Attila Galambos.
