About 400 Madách Musical Studio students will perform a number from the famous Andrew Lloyd musical at Heroes' Square at 16:00 on March 25. Following the performance, the singers will travel back to the Madách Theatre on carnival floats decked out as sets for the musical.

In the evening, a special performance at the theatre will feature renditions of numbers by old and new cast members, including Péter Haumann, György Szakály, Béla Szerednyei, Péter Cseke and Ildikó Hűvösvölgyi from former casts, and Andrea Malek, János Gálvölgyi, Tamás Dunai, Tibor Szolnoki, Enikő Détár and Ágnes Kökényessy from the current cast.

Madách director Tamás Szirtes said Cats has been performed nearly 1,300 times in Hungary, more than any other musical or theatre production. He added that Andrew Lloyd Webber has been invited to attend the anniversary celebration, though the composer has not confirmed he will come.
