The troupe will perform The Rite of Spring and 24 Preludeds by Chopin. Both pieces will feature Carol Prieur, who was voted best dancer of the year in TANZ magazine?s 2010 poll.
The aesthete András Rényi will discuss Chouinard?s work at a talk before the show on the 25th.
The 53-year-old Canadian Louise Lecavalier will come to the Trafó as part of the Budapest Autumn Festival on October 8-9. The performances will feature a piece by DV8 veteran Nigel Charnock and another by La La La Human Steps founder and leader Édouard Lock.
The Batsheva Dance Company from Israel will perform on November 18-19.
For the first time, the Trafó is offering a combined ticked for all three performances at a discounted price. It is also waiving the surcharge for tickets purchased online.
Other acts on the Trafó programme this season include Rosas from Belgium, the Russell Maliphant Company from Britain and the Random Dance Company featuring Wayne McGregor. Among the Hungarian dancers to perfrom will be Klári Pataky, the PR-Evolution Dance Company, Compagnie Pál Frenák and Lábán Prize-winning choreographer Éva Duda.
