The memorial room, at Mihály Táncsics Street 5, in the Castle District, will open on Thursday.
Copies of works in Hungary and in Rome are on display in the room. Among the correspondence visitors can see is a Christmas letter from Pope Paul VI. A photograph in the room shows Tot with the Pope.
An exhibition of 30 drawings by Tot, never before seen in Hungary, will be hung on the walls in the stairway to the room until October 14.
A monograph of Tot?s work by the art historian Péter Nemes, in English and Hungarian, will be presented at the opening of the memorial room.
