The show of about 20 paintings from the collection of Udo Imhof Geisslinghof was also presented at the Hungarian embassy in Vienna on Monday.
Miklós Németh, who belongs to the New Expressionist school, was born in Budapest in 1934. He studied in the Ödön Márffy?s school of painting, learning from the master himself as well as from István Ilosvai Varga and Emil Gádor. His contemporaries included István Szőnyi, Oszkár Glatz, János Kmetty and Menyhért Tóth. Németh?s paintings have been shown in many group and solo shows, including in Budapest?s Műcsarnok in 1981 and at the capital?s Ernst Museum in 2000. The city of Szentendre presented Németh with the Ilosvai Varga István Prize in 2006.
