One of the tenders, called as part of the Programme for National Contemporary Non-Classical Culture, or PANKKK, will be for funding to record and release an album. The other will be for funding for the organisation of a live performance. The maximum amount available in each of the tenders is EUR 400,000.
The tenders are designed to assist talented amateur performers make the break onto the professional music scene. They are open to performers of pop, rock, blues, electronica, metal, folk music, world music, and any crossover styles. The deadline for applying is May 18, and winners will be selected by a jury of musical professionals from all over Hungary between May 21 and 29. The jury's selection will be approved by the tender committee. The winners will receive their award money between June 4 and 22.
