The concert will feature performances of works by Mozart, Rossini, Gounod, Tchaikovsky and Verdi sung by Manon Strauss Evrard, Alexey Kudriya and Filip Bandzak. Zsolt Hamar will conduct the Miskolc Symphony Orchestra.
Manon Strauss Evrard has won the first prize at the Gerda Lissner competition, first prize at the "Concorso internazionale di canto lirico di Rocca delle Macie", the Norske Opera Award of the Belvedere Competition, the Gold Medal of the Conservatoire National de Region de Nancy and the Adami Prize of the Golden Voice competition.
The Czech baritone Filip Bandak sang with the Prague Philharmonic Children's Choir from the age of nine. In 1993, he made his foreign debut at operas in Berlin and Warsaw. In 1994, he made his first solo opera appearance in Prague´s National Theatre as Paggio in Rigoletto. Since then, he has sung in Canada, Malaysia, Singapore and China.
Alexey Kudrya studied under his own father at Moscow's Music Academy, graduating in 2004 as a flute soloist and a conductor. His career as a singer began after winning first prize and the "Potential of the Nation" award at "Romance 2003" in Moscow. In 2007, he won the Iris Adami Corradetti International Competition of Opera Singing. This year, he received a first prize at Placido Domingo's Operalia competition held in Hungary.
