On August 12-14, the monastery will open an exhibition of sacred art, show films and present a folk arts workshop. Júlia Csiba will sing sacred music as well as folk songs. Among the other performances on the programme are ones of Indian classical music and dance as well as of songs of the Sufi Muslims. The theme for the weekend is ?the woman clothed with the sun ? Mary days?.
Sacred music will be in the spotlight on August 19-21. A ?rock oratorio? called Hungarian Mass can be heard as can a Serbian Orthodox choir from Szentendre and a youth orchestra from the parish of Saint Stephen in Sopron. The Judrom Band and the Sator Quartet will also perform.
The theme for the last weekend of the festival, on August 25-27, is ?the association of tongues of fire ? in the path of the Pauline order?. A conference will consider the message of the ancient world religions to people today. Visitors can participate in a pilgrimage and listen to a concert by the Saint Ephrem Men?s Chorus.
