English

?We are Hungarians practicing Byzantine rituals and Catholic. We came to Rome, to the heart of the church, to give thanks to God for the debt owed by our church,? said the diocese?s bishop Fülöp Kocsis.

The pilgrims arrived by car, bus and plane. Twenty-five church members came by bicycle and the same number rode motorcycles to Rome.

Bishop Kocsis started the trip to Rome with the cyclists and rode into Saint Peter?s Square on a motorcycle on Tuesday.

The pilgrims will visit Santa Maria Maggiore on Wednesday and Saint Paul?s Basilica on Thursday. They will also travel to Assisi, the birthplace of Saint Francis.

Some 50 priests are among the pilgrims.
