On the first day of the series, the Szeged-based Molnár Dixieland Band will celebrate their 45th anniversary as well as the 65th birthday of the ensemble's founder Gyula Molnár. The band, who established the Szeged Dom Dixie Gala in 1998 as a part of the Szeged Open-Air Festival, will be joined by the cimbalom master Kálmán Balogh and the Fool Moon singers.
The Benkó Dixieland Bank, whose weekly concerts have become a fixture on Budapest's cultural scene over several decades, will be joined by the Hungarian-American vibraphonist Tommy Vig on the second day of the series.
The series will wind up with a show by the young musicians of the Hungarian Swing Company, who will perform with Béla Szalóky and Ted Rosenthal.
