The performance will feature the conductor James Levine and the singers Kathleen Kim, Anna Netrebko, Ekaterina Gubanova, Elina Garana and René Pape.
Last season, some 1,500 opera lovers saw the Live in HD series. More than 5,000 are expected to see live performances of Tosca, Aida, Turandot, Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Der Rosenkavalier, Carmen, Simon Boccanegra, Hamlet and Rossini's Armida. Among the stars that will sing in the operas are Renée Fleming, Anna Netrebko, Angela Gheorghiu, Karita Mattila, Plácido Domingo, Rolando Villazón, Roberto Alagna and Marcello Giordani.
