Museion No. 1 Shows Ceramics by John Glick

English

Glick was a guest this summer of the International Ceramics Studio in the Hungarian city of Kecskemét, and the exhibition shows his plates made for Herend, one of Hungary's most famous porcelain makers, as well as bowls and other vessels.

Glick says his work shows the "unlimited possibilities of expressiveness" while at the same time preserving the function that is at the centre of family life. "I am attracted to simplicity, as well as complexity: my work continually reflects my re-examination of how these two poles can coexist... or not, in a given series."

Glick "creates interesting new worlds" in his work, said International Ceramics Studio Director János Probstner at the exhibition opening.

The exhibition can be seen until August 27.
