Museum of Fine Arts Shows Sándor Hollán?s Trees

Hollán revisits some 20 trees in Languedoc in his work, seeking the true essence of art in their natural forms.
 
The artist left Hungary for France in 1956 and studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs.
 
The exhibition, called The Path of the Tree, is rounded out with works by Camille Corot, Claude Lorrain, Theodore Rousseau and Nicolas Poussin.
 
The exhibition runs until February 5, 2012. It will show at the Musée Fabre in Montpellier in the spring of 2012.
