Muzsikás will be one of 16 groups to perform at the festival, which takes place over three days in the heart of the jungle. The group is representing the music of Central and Eastern Europe together with a Polish group. Also on the line-up are musicians from Finland, France, Portugal, Morocco, Tanzania, Chile, China, the US and New Zealand.
Muzsikás, whose members are Miály Sipos, Dániel Hamar, Péter Éri and László Porteleki, will hold a workshop on Friday, introducing their instruments to the public. They will also participate in a programme called Gypsy Jam on Saturday. The group will play once more on Sunday, before the festival's finale.
Before they left for Malaysia, Muzsikás played at a festival in Norway, and the band will perform with the singer Mária Petrás and the dancers Ildikó Tóth and Zoltán Farkas at a world music festival in Zagreb on July 21.
