Twelve theatre companies will present productions during the ten-day programme, Bela Stenczer, cultural manager of the festival, told MTI.
Apart from the festival's 23 main performances, there will be an organ concert of popular music in the city's synagogue and a Queen memorial concert in one of the local sports halls. Visitors will also be offered a wide range of fringe programmes, Stenczer said.
The festival, which is considered Hungary's largest theatrical event, attracts about 50,000 viewers each year.
