Night of the Museums Draws Almost 330,000

Some 300 museums participating in the programme registered 191,328 visitors in the capital and 138,133 in other cities and towns.

The museums planned almost 2,000 events for the evenings.

The most-visited museums in Budapest on the Night of the Museums were the Museum of Applied Arts, the Agricultural Museum and the Museum of Transport, each attracting more than 10,000 people.

Outside of Budapest, the Bozsó collection and the Ráday Museum in Kecskemét, and the Herend Porcelain Museum in Herend had the most visitors.

The proportion of international visitors was the highest, at 30 percent, at Budapest?s House of Hungarian Photography.

The total number of visitors was down from last year?s record 462,230.
