Some 40 events at 20 venues were on the programme of Nincs Lehetlen (Nothing is Impossible), among them lectures, exhibitions, film screenings, performances and concerts. Some of the highlights of the festival included the opening of an exhibition of images of contemporary pop stars by the photographer Anton Corbijn, a show by the Stuffed Puppet Theatre and a performance by Dries Verhoeven on the capital's busy Moszkva Square.
Cultural attaché at the Dutch embassy in Budapest Jan Kennis said the tragedy at the queen's birthday in Apeldoorn had cast a shadow over the festival.
