November 14 is First Autumn Night of Museums

The Autumn Night of Museums will be the closing event of the Autumn Museums Festival. Thirty museums in Budapest will participate in the night's programmes and 47 outside of the capital.
 
Budapest's Museum of Applied Arts will celebrate contemporary literature with readings in a visual setting. Writers to appear at the event include Virág Erdős, Judit Ágnes Kiss, Anna T. Szabó and János Lackfi.

Visitors to the House of Hungarian Photographers can see the museum's exhibition of contemporary photographs as well as a working man-sized camera.
 
Zsuzsanna D. Sipos will sing old hits at the Hungarian Museum of Commerce and Catering.
 
The Hungarian Agricultural Museum will host a programme of music, dance, traditional games and crafts, and roasted goose - a Hungarian tradition on Saint Martin's Day - with fine wine.
 
The Hungarian National Museum will be the home to the Museum Theatre for one night. Among the highlights of the evening will be a performance by Eszter Csákányi of works by Lajos Parti Nagy.
 
Theatre lovers can see a performance by the Bárka Theatre of Piaf Piaf - about the life of Edith Piaf - at the Natural History Museum.
 
Visitors to the Műcsarnok can hear the improvisations of the young jazz saxophonist Viktor Tóth.
 
The Godot Theatre will put on an improvisational show at the Museum of Ethnography based on the museum's exhibition of Finnish culture and cultural artifacts.
 
The Museum of Fine Arts will offer concerts, children's programmes, film screenings and guided tours, in addition to its temporary exhibition From Botticelli to Titian.
