The band, which was advertised as ?Eastern Europe?s Number 1 Rock Band?, performed for more than two hours. Before the event, Omega members gave interviews to more than 20 newspapers and radio and television broadcasters.
The concert marked the end of Omega?s Red Star Tour, which falls a year before the band celebrates the 45th anniversary of its founding. Next year, Omega will play concerts in Poland, Holland, Croatia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Romania and Russia, as well as in Hungary.
Omega?s latest album, ?Égi jel? (Heavenly Sign), has been at the top of the Hungarian charts since its release one month ago. It has already gone gold and is expected to go platinum by the holidays. The album will soon be released in Germany as well.
