The conference, organised by the Hungarian National Film Archives, in cooperation with Germany's Fritz Bauer Institute and the German Film Institute, will feature screenings of Félix Máriássy's Budapest Spring and Oscar Award-winning director István Szabó's 1966 film Father. Several documentaries will also be screened.
In addition to the films, a number of talks and lectures will be on the programme.
The conference is the second in a series. The first one was held in Vienna in 2004, when international film archivists, film historians and holocaust scholars saw and discussed feature films and documentaries about the persecution and murder of Austrian Jews between 1938 and 1945.
Some 500,000 Hungarian Jews were sent to their deaths in concentration camps during a few months at the end of WWII.
