Most of the films on the programme are set in dynamic and developing contemporary India. They include a crime comedy (Don Bombay), a musical (Taal), a romantic comedy (While Walking) and another romantic comedy with a political tone (From the Heart). The programme will also include a period drama, Devdas, and the monumental biographical film Gandhi, which won eight Oscars.
A special film on the programme is Straight from the Heart, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who studied in Hungary under the renowned director István Gaál and shot part of the film in Budapest.
