The organisers of the screenings and concerts decided on the new venue because of plans to build an underground car park at Kossuth tér.

From July 4 until August 3, films will be shown every day on the terrace. Children's films will be shown from 5pm and will be followed by a live event from 7pm. Feature films will start at 8pm and a silent film, with piano accompaniment will be shown at 10pm.

Among the musical performers on the terrace programme will be the Veronika Harcsa Quartet, the Budapest Ragtime Band, Barnabás Kelemen and the Auer Quartet. The feature films to be screened will include several foreign productions, as well as Hungarian films, such as Panic, 9 and a Half Dates, 56 Drops of Blood, Béla Tarr's latest film The Man from London and several films by the Academy Awards-winning director István Szabó, who turned 70 this year.

Visitors to the terrace can enjoy altogether 350 films and 40 live performances.

In addition to Budapest, films will be screened and live performances will take place in public spaces in the cities of Debrecen on July 11-13, Szombathely on July 18-20 and Győr on July 25-27.
