The museum will repair the house's thatched roof, which was damaged by rodents, and restore its furniture. A smoke detector will also be installed.
The house was disassembled in Karancskeszi and brought to the museum grounds on seven carts in 1932.
The Open Air Museum will reopen on May 1.
