Papermagic Festival Unfolds May 26 ? 28

English

The festival, which has become a fixture on the capital?s calendar of events, features origami, marbling and other paper arts. During the day, visitors can see exhibitions, make origami calendars or moving statues, and cut out silhouettes. In the evening, there will be concerts.

The Hungarian Society of Etchers and Lithographers, which organises the festival, aims to make the event a special experience for children, on the occasion of International Children?s Day on Sunday. The society also intends to introduce children to the wonderful world of paper. With the help of exhibits and interactive tents, where masters of the craft will show visitors the different forms of paper art, the organisers will present a world in which paper is at once a material, a container and a tool.

In addition to the craft tents, which guarantee a rich, interactive experience for all ages, the festival will offer concerts, clown games and fairy tales, all celebrating the wonderful world of paper.
