As Hungary is a small country, the list of companies that are serious art patrons is short. Corporate Collections shows 18 of them, presenting their heads' philosophy on patronage, as well as the spaces their art is exhibited in and, most importantly, the works themselves.
Corporate Collections is the brainchild of Attila Ledényi, who says the aim of the booklet is not just to inform, but to give people something to enjoy. He adds that the booklet follows the success of an earlier booklet published by EDGE Communications which profiled Hungary's most important private collectors of contemporary art.
Contemporary Private Collectors had a bigger impact than even its creators anticipated, says Ledényi. Many more collectors want to be included in another issue of the booklet, which sparked a great deal of interest in today's artists.
