Hungary's state tourism agency Magyar Turizmus prepared informational materials in German about the Pécs2010 programme and distributed them at the stand at the tourism fair. The press also picked up the story of Pécs's preparations for 2010: a press conference at which state secretary for tourism Miklós Kovács and Magyar Turizmus chairman Ákos Niklai spoke was packed.

Thanks to successful talks at the fair, professionals from about a dozen different German media outlets will visit Pécs in the next four months. Many tour organisers also said they would be sure to promote the Pécs2010 programme among their regular clients.

The informational materials about the Pécs2010 programme were also distributed at the stand for Germany's Ruhr Region, where Essen is located. Essen will share the European Capital of Culture title with Pécs in 2010.
An agreement was reached with DERTOUR, one of Europe's biggest tour operators, to give Pécs and its 2010 programme a special place in its posters, flyers and online advertising.

The fair's organisers waived the costs of Pécs's participation at the fair.
