The 600-piece collection will be bought for 1.3 million euros, around half the market price. The seller is Laszlo Gyugyi, a Hungarian electro-engineer living in Pittsburgh, who collected the items over forty years.

The unique collection is expected to arrive in Pecs in December and will be shown to members of the public as a permanent exhibition from September 2010.

Gyugyi earlier said that he would sell the collection because his two sons live far from him and he does not want the collection to be scattered in American museums after his death.
