The content of the agreement will be made on a regular basis, said Tasnádi. Already there are plans to perform the play Isaac's Passion in conjunction with the Eszék culture centre in 2009, and a joint Hungarian-Croatian production of a Zrínyi opera will take place in 2010, the year Pécs takes the European Capital of Culture title.
Next year, Zagreb will be a special guest at two traditional events in Pécs: Croatian Days and the Heritage Festival. Pécs will also offer Zagreb-based artists opportunities to introduce themselves at European Capital of Culture events.
Tasnádi also met with Croatian Culture Minister Bozidar Biskupic to discuss ways to publicise Pécs's European Capital of Culture programme in Croatia.
