The exhibition was prepared by the photographer Piotr Jantos, who is based in Krakow. It includes images of the pope?s visit to Hungary by János Szirányi.
The show is organised chronologically, showing Karol Wojtyla as priest, a bishop, a cardinal, then as pope.
The historian and expert on Poland Attila Pál Illés as well as the poet and editor-in-chief of weekly Új Ember Gábor Zsille spoke at the exhibition opening, recalling the pope?s role in history, his influence on young people and his contribution to the renewal of the Catholic church.
