The museum opened a show of coins depicting Józef Bem, the Polish freedom fighter who is also a Hungarian national hero, and a series of tableaux showing excavations in Pest County.
The exhibitions were organised with the cooperation of museums in Budapest, as well as the Hungarian cities of Debrecen and Nyíregyháza.
A delegation of Hungarian museum experts participated at the opening.
