The portal's editor, Olivér Kovács, said that although there is a listing of Christian cemeteries in Hungary, there is no comprehensive database of Christian monuments in the country, which is why muemlekem.hu has organised a contest to make the most additions to the collection. Anybody may contribute by posting a picture, GPS coordinates and some information about the surroundings to the website. Already, several hundred items have been added to the database over the past several days, Kovács said.
Muemlekem.hu launched a contest to catalogue all of Hungary's more than 11,000 protected monuments in a database in June 2008. The database is now complete, with more than 27,000 postings.
