During the seminar, which was held last year as well, representatives from the region of Cascais-Estoril, the Portuguese Music Museum and the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest will sign a letter of intent on the establishment of a Kodály Institute within the Portuguese Music Museum.

The Kodály Method, a system of music education developed by the Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály, could be used in Portuguese schools, which recently expanded their music programmes to three periods a week.

Hungarian music educators held a five-day course for Portuguese teachers in Estoril last year. Later, 15 teachers from Portugal came to Hungary to see the Kodály Method in practice.
