The exhibition showcases hundreds of personal affects as well as many documents, said curator Mariann Kaján. Some are from the Royal Castle of Gödöllő?s own collection and others are on loan from the Hungarian National Museum.
Many of the pieces of lace, gloves, ornamental boxes and perfume holders have never been shown in public.
Visitors to the exhibition can also read from memoirs kept by the queen?s companions, among them Maria Festetics.
Highlights of the show include one of Elisabeth?s hats, a hand fan, a stole, a pair of shoes and ball souvenirs.
The exhibition runs from June 9 until September 30.
