The three-day festival, to feature Hungarian and international artists, will include more than 30 events on its programme. The special guest of this year?s festival is Germany, and the festival?s patron is German ambassador to Hungary Ursula Seiler-Albring.
The Plein-Art Festival has been acclaimed for its unique exhibitions and distinctive approach, which presents the connectedness of fine art with other art forms.
?Experiences of recent years showed that the best way to promote fine arts is through spectacular shows, attention-gathering cross-genre events and multiculturalism,? said festival organiser Márta H. Szilágyi of the Erlin Gallery.
In addition to the Erlin Gallery, many of the other galleries and cafés which line Ráday Street will also be involved in the festival.
Artists who will show their works at the festival include painters György Jovián and Gábor Véssey, sculptor Yengibarian Mamikon, and Sabine Franek and Bernd Damke from Berlin.
Sculptures will line Ráday Street during the festival, as will flags decorated by artists especially for the occasion.
