?In many ways, Titanic embodies much the same philosophy as Raindance. They have been showing the Budapest community for 18 years great films from around the world which they can?t see anywhere else. We?ve been doing the same in London with independent film over the last 19 years? said Elliot Grove, founder of Raindance.
Raindance is dedicated to fostering and promoting independent film in the UK and around the world. Based in the heart of London, Raindance combines Raindance Film Festival, Training Courses, the prestigious British Independent Film Awards, and Raindance.tv.
Raindance is the UK?s largest independent film festival. It was founded in 1993 by Elliot Grove and is happening in central London each October. The Festival represents and promotes all aspects of independent cinema, from guerilla style low budget shorts to international indie blockbusters.
Raindance offers evening and weekend training courses in writing, directing and producing. They are designed to take independent filmmakers from first principles to post-production and beyond. Raindance amumni include, among others, Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes), Christopher Nolan (Batman), Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) and Charles Steel (The Last King of Scotland).
