Reflex Biennale Shows Best of Region's Theatre

English

The Tamási Áron Theatre is celebrating its 60th anniversary with the festival, which aims to provide a showcase for contemporary Central European theatre on the Eastern edge of a Hungarian-speaking region.

"I can happily say that we are not talking about something half-finished, but about a working theatre festival," said theatre director László Bocsárdi, adding that the next task is to keep up and further expand the festival.

Bocsárdi noted that the Tamási Áron company had been recognised with several awards in March. Yvonne, Princess of Burgundy was nominated in five categories for a Uniter Prize, the actor Levente Nemes was presented a Kaszás Attila Prize and the actor Loránd Váta a Jaszai Mari Prize.
