Registry of listed monuments prepared along Hungarian-Ukrainian border

The county has been granted 13 million forints for the programme aimed at boosting cross-border tourism cooperation, said Oszkar Sesztak

 
The registry, complemented with a photo archive, will be published by late April 2010. Buildings that need to be revamped will be specially marked and proposals for their utilisation made.
 
On the Hungarian side of the border at least 78 buildings from 36 towns and villages will go on the list and there are many more on the Ukrainian side as well, director of the National Heritage Protection Office's regional organisation Istvan Szatmari said.
