Nice and Szeged have been sister cities since 1969. The University of Nice University has an ongoing cooperation with the University of Szeged that includes student and teacher exchange programmes as well as joint biotechnology projects.
Nice also seeks to participate at the MEZZO opera festival, which is held in Szeged.
