Hungarian-language Transylvanian daily Krónika said the state of Hungary covered one-third of the cost of the bust, the work of Lajos Bíró, and the local council paid for the rest.
At the same time as the bust was inaugurated, the Károlyi Palace was opened to the public for the first time after a renovation that was supported with more than 4.5 million euro in European Union funding.
