The exhibition focuses on Márai's work, but shows the writer's life as well as the reception of his work.
Many of Márai's books have been translated and published in Venezuela, including Divorce in Buda, Embers and parts of his Diaries (1984-1989).
The exhibition opened first in Argentina last year, then travelled to Brazil, Chile and Columbia.
The popularity of Márai's works in South America has "exceeded all expectations", said Tibor Mészáros, who manages Márai's oeuvre at the Petőfi Literary Museum.
