The Nuevo Ballet Espa?ol was established by Angel Rojas and Carlos Rodríguez in 1995, a year after they took the prize for most outstanding dancer at the National Spanish and Flamenco Dance Competition. In Sangre Flamenca, the two are joined by eight dancers and eight musicians.
"In this slick, polished production, solo star turns by the company co-founders are capably supported by nine attractive, disciplined young dancers and an excellent eight-piece band," The Times of London wrote of Sangre Flamenca.
Sangre Flamenca will show at MUPA on January 14.
