Other acts recently confirmed by the festival?s organisers include dEUS, Exploited, Cathedral, Evergrey, Fear Factory, Gogol Bordello, Flogging Molly, Goran Bregovic Wedding And Funeral Band, Toumani Diabaté and the Symmetric Orchestra and the Afro Celt Sound System. Among the bands confirmed earlier are Radiohead, Robert Plant, Franz Ferdinand, Sick Of It All, Ministry, Wir Sind Helden, Natacha Atlas, Enzo Avitabile. The full line-up of concerts and performances will be announced later.
Scissor Sisters? self-titled debut album topped the charts in 2004 with singles such as ?Comfortably Numb?, a disco-style cover of the Pink Floyd classic, "Take Your Mama", the ballad "Mary", and the randy "Filthy/Gorgeous". The band?s performance at Live8 in July 2005 was unforgettable.
dEUS, whose influences range from Captain Beefheart to the Velvet Underground, is one of Belgian?s most successful acts ever. The band will play on the Main Stage.
On the Hammerworld Stage will be the U.K.?s crossover thrash band Exploited, doom metal band Cathedral, also from the U.K., Swedish power metal band Evergrey and L.A.?s industrial metal sensation Fear Factory.
The WAN 2 stage boasts gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello, whose charismatic lead singer Eugen Hütz played a lead in the recent film ?Everything is Illuminated?, and Irish American punk band Flogging Molly,
The World Music Stage will host the ever popular Goran Bregovic Wedding And Funeral Band. Bregovic is perhaps best known for his collaborations with film director Emir Kusturica. Also playing on the stage will be Grammy winner Toumani Diabaté, considered to be the world?s finest kora player, and Afro-Celt Sound System, reportedly the best-selling band on Peter Gabriel?s Real World Records label.
